The snow’s melted. It’s the first time we’ve seen the ground since the day after Thanksgiving. It’s quite muddy and ugly. Does this mean winter is over?

The icicles outside our apartment window grow six or seven feet long before plunging like swords to the ground. Sometimes they shatter in a small explosion. Other times, they impale a snow mound.

It’s getting dangerous.
