I’ve received another manila envelope. This time, it was a communique from Mona’s mother:
“Mona’s enigmatic personality is a challenge and satisfaction to us. Her most salient characteristic is a spiritual satisfaction from pottery, dancing, and the beauties of nature. She is comparable to a thoroughbred race horse. She loves versatility, particularly in conversation; admires her dad’s logic, fund of trivia, and high mental activity.
Made it to Precious Blood. My knees and neck are killing me. Mercedes went with me. She seems to know everyone, or maybe it’s that they know her. There were many Save Our Mills members. The priest spoke a lot about baseball. That, and bingo.
You probably didn’t know, but Pierre de la Rue is one of my favorite composers. You’re authorized to establish a polyphonic choir at the earliest opportunity. Maybe as part of the Opera House regulars.
