Visions of yrUBbury

Maybe it’s not all that uncommon that Bill still hasn’t met his boss face-to-face yet. In many corporations, the executives remain aloof, sheltered in corner office suites miles away.

I’ve received another manila envelope. This time, it was a communique from Mona’s mother:

“Mona’s enigmatic personality is a challenge and satisfaction to us. Her most salient characteristic is a spiritual satisfaction from pottery, dancing, and the beauties of nature. At the pool, Effie didn’t see me. She was too busy talking with her swimming and diving coach, whom she spotted in the stands. She left with him.

Jane walked in but avoided me. Her rash was gone. I thanked her for Friday.

“Are you being sarcastic?”

“Do I sound sarcastic?”

She looked so ecstatic leaping from the high dive.
