After two years of meandering fairly placidly – like the river through yrUBbury, for that matter – the dark clouds have gathered. The river’s about to rise, in effect, in a turbulent flood that threatens to sweep everyone and everything over the dam. To follow the gory twists of the third and final year, you really must turn to the ebook itelf.
But if that’s not enough, just think – it leads Bill to one of my favorite romances yet.
I agree wholeheartedly with your proposal to divide yrUBbury into four quadrants running off from the downtown, plus the hillsides.
You’re right on the money about having a Celtic quarter, a Viking quarter, a Yankee quarter, and an Italian-French Canadian quarter, plus a Greek hillside, and – assuming that we can tame them – an Inca hillside. Each one should have its own plaza for gathering and festivals. In addition, each one should have its own school, run as much as possible by the neighborhood.
The plan to create farmers’ markets in each of the quadrants is brilliant.
